My career began in the medical field, where I developed a passion for helping others through compassionate, individualized care. That same passion eventually led me into the world of dog training.
My journey began while searching for the right trainer for my service dog for my child who has autism. I had the right dog—but I didn't have the right trainer. After experiencing different training approaches, I found Top Paw k9 and saw firsthand the difference that knowledgeable, compassionate, and ethical training could make. That experience not only transformed my dog, but my entire family.
Inspired by the trainers and their values, I went from customer to apprentice, alongside the owner and learning firsthand the methods, knowledge, and dedication that make this company so special. Today, I'm proud to be part of the same team who I trusted with my precious fur baby.
I understand that dogs are more than pets—they're family. My goal is to help every dog and owner build a relationship based on trust, communication, and confidence that lasts a lifetime.
Jasmine — Camp Manager & Daycare Supervisor

Jasmine began at Top Paw K9 Academy as a Kennel Technician and quickly advanced to Lead Kennel Technician and Manager of Kennel Operations. She now oversees the team and daily operations at Denver Dog Day Camp.

She is highly trained in reading canine body language and supervising safe, appropriate social interactions. She recognizes subtle signs of discomfort, overstimulation, or disengagement and knows when to step in, redirect behavior, or advocate for a dog being overwhelmed or bullied.

Her goal is to create healthy social experiences; not uncontrolled play that contributes to overarousal or reactivity. Through thoughtful group placement, structured breaks, and active supervision, Jasmine helps ensure every dog feels safe, understood, and appropriately supported
De’Javae — Trainer & Canine Adventure Guide

De’Javae began at Top Paw K9 Academy as a Kennel Technician while simultaneously completing our hands-on trainer apprenticeship. Through consistent work and continued education, she earned her position as a professional dog trainer.

At Denver Dog Day Camp, De’Javae serves as both a Trainer and Canine Adventure Guide. She leads dogs on structured field trips throughout Denver, where she reinforces leash skills, recall, neutrality, confidence, and appropriate public behavior around real-world distractions.

Her training experience allows her to recognize each dog’s individual needs, manage outings safely, and adjust the experience so dogs remain engaged without becoming overwhelmed. De’Javae’s calm approach and genuine care help make every adventure both enjoyable and purposeful.
